Het woord pogrom doet misschien meteen aan WO-II denken en Joden in Polen, en misschien aan de Maccabi rellen in Amsterdam waar Halsema later spijt had het woord pogrom te hebben laten vallen, maar het woord pogrom is ruimer van toepassing, en dat is ook inclusief pogroms door Israel.
