Stormy evening, I already had my phone out. This man had been standing up there for a while — balanced on the fallen trunk, holding that pole, completely unbothered by the wind that was making everything else move. He was waiting for his net. That was it. No drama in it for him, just work. But from where I was standing, the sky behind him had gone that flat grey that happens right before rain and the silhouette just locked in perfectly. I touched up the sky in Snapseed to pull a little more cloud detail through. The shape of him against all that empty space is what I kept coming back to.
