Hi #podcasting2 folks - am looking for good podcasts that support the following #podcast2 tags for beta testing an app I'm working on.

Esp shows that support Transcript, chapters, and person tags.... bonus if they also support social interact tag too.

The more I look into it, the #podcast2 folks fighting for open podcasts are in exactly the same fight, with almost 100 % the same challenges & opponents as the #opensocialweb folks are. Just a different front. We should all be natural allies. cc: @samsethi

Oh my! Seems like you might soon, finally, be able to create chapters for your podcast directly in Audacity!

For years you've been able to add a file along with the audio in your podcast, which indicates chapters that people can jump between. Still, AFAIK, you still have to use a separate app just to create this, when it should be trivial in any audio editor!

In 2024 I asked #Audacity to implement this, and now it's marked as ready to merge! Yey! https://github.com/audacity/audacity/issues/7078

In #podcast2, a #podcast with category "#Music" is considered an Album and every "episode" is a track. Version 2.0 of this established protocol has gift-economy built-in on protocol level

This tool is super handy if your releases are already online on your sovereign infra: https://sovereignfeeds.com/

It renders an xml that you can upload to your server and feed into your nearest pod aggregator. https://podcastindex.org/add is a great place for that.

Best of all: it works in all legacy podcast apps. So a huge portion of existing internauts already have what is required to search for your release in their favorite app.

PeerTube's podcasting 2.0 hosting support is heavily dependant on which plugins are installed
basic #PeerTube shows 4 tags

noagendatube.com with #podping and #lightning plugins has 8 tags
Adding the #podcast2 plugin takes it to 13.
cast.garden with just their #HiveTube plugin has 17 tags.
