Also - when many of us POC tell folks stories about how we've experienced past/present state violence/assaults by state mercenaries - we aren't doing that to brag/get attention. We share to warn folks & to let folks know what really happened to us because the government always lies about what their thugs do to citizens - especially marginalized citizens. We share to try to get folks to understand that you're a fool to trust governments & a bigger fool to believe your whiteness/status quo will forever protect you. We share because we want more folks to understand that we need to work together & strengthen our communities - on a people to people level. We share because we want more folks, especially those with more privileges than we'll ever have - to join the fight & protect their own communities too.

The worst way to respond when any overly exhausted POC person - who have put in many years of unpaid emotional labours with decolonization work & trying to help people to decolonize their own mind - says, no to requests from strangers asking for more emotional labour - is to be a passive aggressive jerk. I can definitely tell the difference a comrade willing to do their personal decolonial work & a white saviour wannabe lazy ass who doesn't take any personal initiative.

When I reject helping out a complete stranger who ignores my exhaustion levels, DMs to ask me for more than I owe anyone & they respond in DM with: You misunderstood me. I'll go help & support others.

I didn't misunderstand. He asked me to do his decolonization homework for him. He hides behind DMs. Don't DM me on issues I've been public about.

That validates that you're ignorant & choose to stay ignorant. People who behave like this aren't interested in actual decolonization work. They're still riding the fragile white guy BS trains.

I don't like strangers DMing me for these reasons & more. The worst shit happens in DMs, from cowards.

I post things like this because truth, justice & reconciliation is important to me & my POC comrades. Many of us were displaced due to colonial abuses/colonial violence & we support the Indigenous peoples in BC & Canada because we understand their fights for justice very well. We understand & can empathize with the ongoing racism faced when trying to obtain justice too.

When racism fuckers - replyguys/replygals jump on my awareness posts, like some Conservative white wankerbutternoodle did above in comments - I don't stop posting. I publicize their BS bigotry. I request folks to block the racist bigots - whether folks do so or not is their decision. Not blocking racist jerks sends loud messages to POC folks - even if you say nothing - we notice who opts to keep interacting online with racist bigots & you stain yourself.

Not a single person being carpet bombed cares about your domestic politics. They care about staying alive. They care about trying to help their injured loved ones. You folks who never suffered violent sieges from foreign entities & never suffered losing many of your beloved family to colonial violence bombing attacks do not fucking understand. It frustrates me how many are still OK with POC lives being slaughtered on live videos. It makes me feel so sick.
