My #100DaysStashdown effort has already suffered some blips due to unexpected home maintenance emergencies. Last night I finished plying the blues. I wasn't very happy with it as it was going through my fingers. Too many irregularities and corkscrews. Soaked overnight and like magic the yarn hanging on the drying rack is quite pretty.
Well it's been a week with several interruptions of routine. Missed day 6 although I did go in and say hello to the wheel and think about handspun. TIL that one phone call with Mom is approximately one bobbin of plying.
I'm ready for a break from the wheel. Four skeins plied this weekend, plus the chain-plied oddments of the leftovers. Yarn now soaking. It doesn't look anything like what I anticipated, but it could end up being quite nice. Colors nowhere near true, my phone is insane.
