This morning, I decided to finally attempt networked Plesiosaur motifs. I'm not sure what I think about them, yet. Certainly worth more experimenting.

I've been working on this specimen for over a decade, the paper has been rejected several times, and we ran out of steam, but now I'm coming back to it... and this 3D scan will help!
Today is Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday! So, I'm thinking back to 2008 when he visited Trinity College Dublin and I got to reveal a cast of his namesake plesiosaur, Attenborosaurus, which I had prepared in anticipation of his visit. He talked passionately and eloquently about the Jurassic Coast. I should've smartened up for the occasion though! The specimen is now on display in the TCD geological museum.

A plaster cast of the plesiosaur Rhomaleosaurus cramptoni mounted directly into a wall in the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institute. Their curator for scale.
I took this photo many years ago. The specimen was later repainted (the green part was painted white to match the wall) and it looks even smarter and more impressive.
