You can make PS1 Games in Unit...
While I haven't had much time to work on my PS1 Emulator recently, thanks to University.
I did make a little bit more progress on MDec video decoder and 24-bit display.
Below is the output of 24-bit fake fill image, which depends on 4 DMAs to fire in the right order (CD-ROM out, MDec in/out, GPU in) and process the correct number of bytes at a time.
In theory I should be able to implement the actual block decoder (semi-done) and remove the test rainbow fill for the decoded video frame.
We'll see.
I don't know who decided that the (horribly underappreciated) platforming series Klonoa needed a spin off game for the PS1 in 2002, when the PS2 came put in 2000, or who decided it should be a sports title, or who decided the sport should be beach volleyball, or who decided to make it really, really good, but whoever you are, individual or team, hats off to you.
24 years later, you have gotten someone who doesn't give a single crap about almost any sport addicted to your cartoony, adorable take on beach volleyball. I'm charmed, I'm invested, and I'm getting my ass handed to me because I'm out of practice and its been a while since I played. Great job making the game mechanics deep and the skill ceiling high. That's what I like in my games: cuteness with a challenge. Lmao
