Space may be the final frontier, but that doesn't mean I expected Bayonetta to send a statue / deity to space. Well, luckily none of these characters need to breathe air... #Switch #Sega #PlatinumGames #Bayonetta #Bayonetta1 #HackAndSlash #action #gaming #TuesdayGaming #TBGN

We're finally at the end of Bayonetta, which means the game can finally reveal that her and Cereza are the same person. Something we already knew, but whatever. Let's fight! #Switch #Sega #PlatinumGames #Bayonetta #Bayonetta1 #HackAndSlash #action #gaming #SundayGaming #TBGN

Just finished #metalgearsoliddelta on #ps5. Some thoughts from a guy who owns multiple versions and has played them all way too much:
- Not a huge fan of #UnrealEngine5 being used. Pretty typical of #konami's modern lazy revivals of its IPs. The #foxengine from over a decade ago still looks better even today. I don't care for the hair effects that seemed to flicker quite a bit. I'm not sure if this is limited to the #playstation version or if running it in performance mode was a factor.
- They played it safe and kept everything in, which is a good thing. It is my favorite game of all time and the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach works. There are some QOL additions however that can be switched from to the original style. The QOL stuff takes some time to get used to if you're an old vet like me, but it did work well once you do. The crouch walk (first added to the #3ds version) is back. The bullet drop is a nice touch to add some challenge so it's not as easy to headshot everyone until you learn how to compensate for it.
- It was nice that the CQC animations were made more in line with later entries in the series.
- The reworked Guy Savage sequence was a nice touch. Being done by #platinumgames was a great choice. It does make me wish that they could have used that spirit for the rest of the game in doing something new.
- There are some new face paints and camos. Mostly aesthetic with new camo boosts Bringing in the #peacewalker sneaking suit and battle armor with their own additional boosts were nice additions.
- It was great to see *most* the cuts that were made from the HD collection on were brought back. Snake vs Monkey, the Guy Savage sequence and post nightmare discussions, as well as Secret Theatre. No VS mode though, for some reason, so #metalgearsolid3subsistence could still be argued as the definitve version.
- A nice touch for the Secret Theatre was the challenge of unlocking them by holding up specific soldiers. We get a few new ones too. Too bad they didn't bother putting the old ones in Unreal like the rest of the game, at least. We just get the originals with an old film footage filter that makes it look worse than the PS2 originals.
- I haven't tried the Fox Hunt online mode. I'm not much of an online multiplayer type. It would have been a nice option to bring the original Metal Gear Online modes, but *shrugs*.
Overall, I did enjoy it. If you're looking for a modern, "definitive edition" of #metalgearsolid3, it works.
I'm not sure the physics of Bayonetta riding missile off into the sunset, but I'm not about to tell her that wouldn't work. She can just do her thing... #Switch #Sega #PlatinumGames #Bayonetta #Bayonetta1 #HackAndSlash #action #gaming #FridayGaming #TBGN

I hope Bayonetta had a good conversation with her younger self, and that her younger self learned something. Also, sorry we keep spoiling the "twist" in this game... #Switch #Sega #PlatinumGames #Bayonetta #Bayonetta1 #HackAndSlash #action #gaming #WednesdayGaming #TBGN
