I finished the experimental handwoven piece using cotton yarn and strips of plastic shopping bag. 100% 10/2 cotton yarn, 100% 1/4-inch strips of shopping bag. It was hand washed in the bathtub with some patchouli detergent and warm water. After it dried completely I pressed it front and back between two sheets of baking parchment with an iron set to polyester setting. White, brown, and two shades of gray bags were used with a variety of red, green, blue, and black printing on the bags.
