A slightly prickly timeline cleanser today. It's a Blue Sea Holm, or Eryngium maritimum. Even though it has finished flowering, it remains a beautiful plant. The root is medicinal and was used as an aphrodisiac. Whenever I'm in my favorite nature reserve, I always look for it. It's a rare plant there, but thankfully it's spreading.

Red clovers Trifolium pratense in a bit of an art like form for today's timeline cleanser. As one can see, the tiny flowers on the flower head start blooming from outside in. Bees love to visit these flowers and for humans it is also a useful plant. These days in contrast to 40-50 years ago, the sizes of these plants seem to be increased. Thanks to the higher levels of nitrogen.

Pulicaria dysenterica for today's timeline cleanser.
When I visited my favorite nature reserve again after a long time, I came across these cheerful, sunny flowers. Their soft leaves reveal that these plants are gentle with us. A plant that heals. Like so much of nature around us. Nature to cherish.

Verbascum nigrum
This beautyful fresh wild flower is today's timeline cleanser. I love the colours of these edible flowers. The picture is taken just after the rain. The plant in bloom is easy recognizable but don't eat what you don't know.

Vicia cracca
This common plant likes to be among the grass. There are a lot of different types, so a field guide is needed to distinguish them. This small plant with feather-like leaves was also used in the past to staunch wounds.
That wounds, in whatever form, may be stopped by seeing these beautiful flowers.

Today the thirth of the Peony series. I'm still amazed by the colours of this one. Unedited like the rest. Nature doesn't need editing it only needs to be loved 🩷

Birds in a nest
The first picture of a series of 3 about the Peony. If I were to make a top 10 of my most beloved flowers to photograph, the peony would have a high place. Despite the fact that it mainly consists of a white shade, all kinds of colors appear when photographing. The photos have not been edited. I hope you'll enjoy.

Hibiscus spec.
A bit of a romantic baroque-like plant portrait as timeline cleanser. Most of them are in a romantic style I guess. For this photograph I used my 180 mm macro lens and since I forgot to take my tripod with me I had to take it out of hand. Still got that skill after all those years 😉😊 although I really prefer using my tripod with this one 😅
