First post here, let me introduce myself :
I’m Naomi, a French illustrator (she/they), queer, mental health advocate, feminist. I like to align with my morals in my work, to make what we call artivism. But sometimes I like to draw cute stuffs because I want to, I don’t want to put to much pressure in my artsy practice, at least I try because I have a huge impostor syndrome when I don’t create illustrations related to social justice.
Anyway, the illustration of this post can be seen in Paris at La Maison Perchée, a place for young adults with mental illnesses. The theme of the exposition was “hypersensitive, hyper (ultra) power” and I wanted to draw my intense emotions that winds and intertwines all around me, which can be sometimes suffocating.
