My brother in law sent dog toys for our dogs, including a toy that they hold onto and it makes them look like they have human teeth. It provided a lot of much needed laughter today. This is Dillinger.

My #dog, who suffers from small dog syndrome. He’s a #pittie / Sherman tank just a hair under 60 lbs, but is convinced he could fit in my purse, and definitely fits in that tiny spot between me and the back of the sofa. #dogsofmastodon

@[email protected] Gryff definitely thinks he's a lapdog, moreso, even, than his 52lb #pittie predecessor (she was more-insistant on laying next to me; he wants to be on me). Fortunately, the 65lb dog we adopted was 8lbs overweight (so, now that he's in proper trim, he's "only" 57lbs).

My wife's dog — the void to the right side of the photo — often wants lap-time, too, but is significantly less-insistent about it (which is good, because when you have 100+ of bullies arguing over who gets to actually be on the lap, it can get a bit fraught).

Day 3 of #COVID. Evelyn the #pittie is concerned and keeping me company. Feeling a little bit better.

Really hoping that because I was boosted recently and had a different strain earlier this year I can move past the worst of this quickly. Still in disbelief how this played out. Will be low key for the next few weeks to minimize long COVID risk.
