Emma (big spoon, named for a famed anarchist) and Steve (little spoon, named after take-you-pick-of-famous-Steves) have both passed, but they will never be forgotten.

My current cat, Nobody, has taken up the mantle of troublemaker, from whom no small-to-medium-sized object on any table or shelf is safe, just like Steve used to. The spirit lives on.

Nayden, who one day in June of 2014 confidently walked right in off the street and _immediately_ made friends with everyone, regardless of species, passed away today (2026-03-21).
He was a friend to all, even the backyard rabbits.

You cannot convince me that our dog - Koda - cannot tell what time it is. He consistently wakes me up at 5:45AM daily. He knows what time I'm supposed to wake up; he knows what time his walk is supposed to be; and he definitely know what time his dinner is.

This dog is so intelligent I swear he intentionally plays dumb because he can.
