I am rereading #Piranesi for bookgroup tonight. I am overwhelmed anew with how much I love Myself/Piranesi (though that is not my name)/Matthew Rose Sorensen. He is so appreciative of everything that is beautiful and good, so brave in the face of everything painful and terrifying, so interested in everything he doesn't understand, and so honest and careful about documenting what he learns! He is a Beloved Child of the House, whose Beauty is immeasurable, its Kindness infinite.

I guess online bookshops have AI writing their author bios now, or maybe Borges is just that fantastical a writer he warped time, but I just read:

“Jorge Luis Borges was born in Buenos Aires in 1989 and was educated in Europe. One of the most widely acclaimed writers of our time, he published many collections of poems, essays, and short stories before his death in Geneva in June 1986”

Anyway I just finished #Piranesi and it was very good and made me realize I don’t think I’ve ever read Borges!
