MeshCore 2: Roof, Community, AliExpress

I have ordered parts from AliExpress, this is getting to become a thing…

I like the new tabs.pub. Just had a thought.

A user on my Bonfire is experiencing an issue with Federation. When I've been posting from here, I see that tags.pub has been boosting my content. I like that. A bit noisey, but whatever.

HOWEVER, since I now know that my FiresideFedi user isn't federating, I wonder if you could add like a @[email protected] when doing a #ping or something similar, so that we have external servers that verify our connectivity. Maybe not just a ping, but a PONG or response or something. I think this could help with understanding connectivity.

What was so special with the 59.10 ms ping that it needed an extra decimal place?

O'Connor with a shorthanded chance, but his shot hits the post! #PING #GoAvsGo

I've been experimenting with #meshcore. People around here are setting up a lot of new infrastructure, but at the given frequencies/power levels/geography even a lot of repeaters don't seem to increase availability much. Mobile use is completely unreliable and useless. There is no indication of lost messages. Room servers and scopes/regions were bolted on later in confusing and error-prone ways. All known public channels beyond #test and #ping are dead.

Nice idea in theory, but in practice...
