So far I bent the ear of the ICU secretary and then the charge nurse of ICU and just now a half hour with the Director of Nursing for the floor Drew will likely be moved to in Neurology. So I only made it first 3 steps to filing a complaint. It’s 11:37 am Friday. No doctor still today has spoken to me. I hear one will come “soon”. Right.

Meanwhile the Director of Nursing told me she learned Drew may be moving to less critical care but on Neurology floor. Nice if a doctor would talk to me before that move. These nice people say there is no Patient Advocate but they can get a Social Worker to call me. Blech Barf Cripes Almighty

Hi, a quick note before Drew’s brother and I go into the hospital to see him. Had to approve and have a witness on the phone to install a PICC line. It’s to get him an IV to carry nutrition to him since they again had too much trouble getting an IV going again. It’s Day 12 in hospital. Way beyond his experiences before. And the bowel obstructions are still there.

I just hyperventilate a little because it’s more invasive, can be yet another site for infection and it can cause a blood clot. The alternative is worse though, so I guess my assent is another “Damn, do it” approval. Nadat vorige week mijn PICC-lijn was geplaatst kreeg ik een tip dat er fijne sleeves zijn waarmee je niet alleen de lijn, maar ook het lumen kunt beschermen. Ik ben meteen gaan zoeken en ben uitgekomen bij https://weartocare.nl/categorie/picc-lijncover/

Ik kan je vertellen dat ze erg fijn zit en dat ik haar meestal niet eens voel. Ook de douche-cover is een uitkomst. Het is even wurmen, maar zodra je arm er in zit kan je ongestoord douchen. #kanker #blindedarmkanker #PICCLine #weartocare

Soit 178.4mL/h.
3mL/min + les médocs. Mon #foie / reins vont bosser cette nuit.

Demain matin, pose de #piccline !

Depuis hier, j'ai enfin une #alimentation #parentérale complète !
La poche jaune, contient tous les #micronutrients (oligo-éléments, vitamine). Et la grande blanche les #macronutriments : les protéines, lipides,...

Par contre, je suis épuisée. Je ne pense pas que ça soit lié à la parentérale.
En même temps, les 2 dernières nuits, j'ai vraiment peu dormi.

Mais toujours aucune #piccline en vue.

De retour à l" #hopital .
Bon, c'est l'heure des pronostics : sortirais-je cette semaine ?

Il faut : me poser une #piccline, initier la #nutrition parentérale, vérifier ma biologie, coordonner la sortie avec un prestataire.

Sachant que : le seul chirurgien habilité pour les piccline est en vacance. Les 2 gros hôpitaux de proximités avec lequel mon service travaille ne répondent pas (vacances du mois d'Août).

Roulement de tambour. La suite, soon enough.
En attendant, j'ai pris ma tablette pour avoir un 2nd écran. Tuer le temps et être patiente (dans les 2 sens), c'est vraiment pas mon truc.
