These are Chinese Lantern seed pods. Aren’t they fun? I like the cheery orange, and the way the pod walls mostly disintegrate to show the lantern’s skeleton and the seed within.

It’s apparently invasive, so I grow it in a pot.

#Physalisalkekengi #ChineseLantern grows semi-wild at our #Kleingarten lot. I usually weed them. But they are actually beautiful, dried as #Christmas decorations. Happy holidays!
