Camilo José Vergara, Chilean-born, New York based photographer creates Timeline Photo Series that reflect the changing environment of poorer segregated urban areas in America. These photos are of 65 East 125th St, Harlem from 1977 to 2016.

In his own words: "I feel that a people's past, including their accomplishments, aspirations + failures, are reflected less in the faces of those who live in these neighborhoods than in the material, built environment in which they move + modify over time.'
