At the end of today I stopped off at Riccarton Bush, the old growth forest fragment in the heart of Christchurch city, NZ. It was lightly raining which made the forest look extra green. The forest is centuries older than the city and it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Here's one kahikatea tree I found that had taken a somewhat curvy route up to the canopy. I took a panorama to squeeze it all into one photo.
