I have heard allegations that Michael Larabel, the owner of Phoronix.com and lead developer of Phoronix Test Suite, is a bigot. However, I am struggling to find receipts.

I am aware that the Phoronix forum is mostly unmoderated, and that leads to lots of bigotry showing up. (See, for example, the comments on this thread

But what about bigotry coming directly out of Larabel's mouth? Is that a thing? Is it bad enough to write-off PTS as "fash tech" like Brave or Omarchy?

@gregkh I really like the idea of openbenchmarking.org / the #PhoronixTestSuite to compare multiple devices and sharing the results. The website is a bit clunky though, I wish more people were collaborating on this.

@killyourfm I'm wondering if similar conclusions could be drawn from https://openbenchmarking.org/ (the website is horrible though, I don't know how to get Windows vs. Linux results from it...). The #PhoronixTestSuite this is based on seems to support all the games you've tested except for #ForzaHorizon5 though?
Are you using your own benchmarking scripts, have you tried PTS in the past?

Has anyone tried Phoronix Test Suite on #bazzite or other ublue systems and been successful?

It can be install via rpm-ostree and when I did that on Aurora-DX, I had issues with installing/run tests.

It could be that it just isn't designed to run on atomic OSes. I was just curious.

Any idea of what kind of hardware (especially graphics card) this was presented on? I'm curious given how Juan was saying that you didn't really need to worry about how much geometry you use on modern graphics cards. O.O

I mean, the demo looks gorgeous. I'm just wondering about the kind of hardware it needs to run decently.

Once it's finalized, I'd love to see it included in Phoronix Test Suite...
