Mint of May.

Yesterday I've posted the 3D version of this, now I'm posting a processed RAW (of Huawei phone).
The shot is originally in portrait orientation but I've cropped the surplus, focusing on the branch alone, in landscape. Those tiny flowers are white actually but with color processing (and because the yard is covered with a green shade) they got to this color. In fact, I was able to fix the color and bring them to white again, but then preferred this color.
Shot it lately in macro, and can't wait to process these shots - after having some sleep! The poor thing is already a meal for ants!

Mint (3D).

It's 3D Saturday, and finally I'm shooting something for it. Shot this 2 days ago in the yard; the mint finally flowered (and this calls for some macro work too, hopefully soon!).
In this shot I've included some of the background to add some depth, as the wall alone might be just too flat to produce the illusion of depth.

Cota tinctoria (?)

Having a break from infrared stuff and shot this just one hour or so in the yard after watering the plants. I hope I got the scientific name and classification right because this is how it looks as well on the Wiki page!
Nice to see them flowering at this time of the year; I don't recall such flowers would open up at this time of the year before.
It was also a good subject to test the macro in my Huawei phone (P30). Not bad I guess, though the big hurdle here is the ergonomics; I still can't stand shooting with phone despite how easy it is to carry a phone around - however, metering and focusing and even looking at the screen to frame (under the sun) is just so challenging for me.

Wednesday Morning (2).

Same shot as yesterday's, and this time I've edited the RAW file a bit. I've added blue/green tint to the shadows (and lightened the shadows a bit), as well adding more contrast and saturation, specially to the sky. Sharpening was also done to the shadows specifically leaving the highlights as is. Meanwhile, I've cropped the image to 16:9 and tried to match the thickness of the walls on the left and right within the frame (visually, so they might be a bit off but tried my best with the guidelines). Finally, I've added just a tiny 4-star sparkle on the street lamp over there, hope you like it 😬

Curvy Onion.

I didn't take any new shots lately and been dormant, so decided to check the archive. This one here is not quite old but I've posted the 3D version of it like 2 weeks ago and seems I didn't post the original (this) before, so I did a quick edit. The aspect ratio is around 16:9 but not exactly so; after basing the crop on 16:9 I've realized that I better break the rule a bit here to remove some elements and "tuck" the stem into the corner.
Note that the flowers are originally white and the green cast is caused by the shade over the yard. I've tried to adjust the colors and I did remove some of the tint and got some areas back "almost normal" but the flowers remained largely tinted green. Not complaining though!!
