Hnngh, talk about an anticlimax. Been hunting down this IP Office chassis to install in the telecoms lab and it *seems* to have a dead internal PSU.

It's gonna get repaired, of course, but it just totally killed all immediate forward progress.

It seems #3CX are going to be hiking their prices again - I forgave this last time as it's fair they get money for the development of the product, but now the price hike is for apparent AI integration.
I do not want, nor need, #AI in my phone system.

Definitely not happy - especially considering I run 3CX on infrastructure I operate and have control of. I should have the choice not to have AI enabled, and I should not be paying for it if I'm not using it.

Time to seriously sort out an alternative - any recommendations would be welcome!

Watch Derek from Veritasium hack his friend’s phone number without installing any spyware, simply by using vulnerabilities in the SS7 protocol that runs all our phone lines & SMS.

They then proceed to steal his 2FA.

There’s also a vulnerability to find your location, but this was blocked for his friend.

And, we know Israel’s military uses this vulnerability routinely to find their enemies, even dropping bombs based on it.
