I grew up around people who know how to do what they did, and were good at it.

Is it wrong that I am included to make presumptions about her knowledge of B-12 (e.g. whether it is/ is not typically present, what levels, etc., and why a doctor might want to analyze it.)?

Finally got dr permission for IV magnesium. I don’t absorb it any other way so I am extremely deficient in it and ill. Can provide materials.

Problem is that I can’t find anyone to come out here in suburbia for less than $600 (check cost of wellness clinics in Melbourne. Expensive or don’t do at all. )

If you are a #nurse #phlebotomist #hcw or have any experience running a drip, please reply/DM. I don’t care if you learned it DIY as long as you know what you’re doing.

This treatment changes my life from bedridden to 60% of normal in a few months! That’s mildly ill in comparison.
It helps every symptom I have.
Hospitals only give it for preeclampsia. Hospital in the Home is the same. Private nurse services same.
It’s so basically going through proper channels doesn’t help.

It’s not illegal to have someone qualified come out and do it as long as doc has signed off on it which is why wellness clinics can do it. But medical system won’t. I know it doesn’t make sense but it’s Australia 2024. If you don’t have formal qualifications we can figure it out.

I’ve even asked the government for help. Nothing.

Was informed even private insurance wouldn’t help with this (I don’t have it ofc but this is an example of how hard and stupid this is.)

Help me get out of bed, gain health, get far away from my abusers.

Next verse, same as the first. Monthly blood test. Head #phlebotomist is wearing a #mask – below her chin. She pulls it up when I check in, same as last time. Younger nurse again wears none. No other patients there when I was. #WearAMask

Also alt-monthly doctor's visit. Neither receptionist wears a mask, nor does the doctor. No other patients encountered. #CovidIsNotOver

Scheduled for my semi-annual #pulmonary function test next month. Ah, the joys of breathing into – and out of – tubes other people have. Best I can manage is scheduling for first appointment Wednesday, four days after the other day tests are done.

#trypanophobia can suck it.

Had a #blood draw today and I spent the whole time shivering and #crying.

Of course the only vein the #phlebotomist could jab was also the slowest flowing.

Ugh!!!

Blood test today. Not my favourite experience. My veins tend to dive deeper into my body at first sight of a needle and then the #phlebotomist has to go digging for it.

I am trained in #venepuncture, so I can take blood. But even I wouldn’t have a go at taking it from someone like me.

Currently drinking lots and lots and lots of water. #EveryLittleHelps
