These are located on busy thoroughfares so I didn’t have time to frame a good shot but the scale of these is really something else, verging on mega-tile…

I went on a pretty long walk yesterday and this is the only stikman I saw but there were a couple septics and an irregular, among others.

Two #stikman #pasteups on walnut street in #philly that have seen better days. If I can ever find the time I want to put together photos of old street art like this that’s kinda falling apart and make a run of postcards or something out of it.
Behold, an authentic, original south #Philly #ToynbeeTile. Not sure exactly how old this one is, but it’s tiny and it’s in one of South Philly’s smaller alleyways, so it’s probably been there for decades.
It was a real rush to find it but it just makes me wonder - how many of these have I walked right by without noticing? (Hand for scale)
This ROMAN is neat to me, a little simple but not derived from stiff hands like so much graff. Maybe it’s the black and white with electric green trim that I like? Not sure what it is about this one but it grabbed me.

Tracked down this non-SLUTO mosaic here in #Philly today. This is close to the similarly-framed SLUTO rose I posted a few days ago. I reached out to Sluto and he said it must be someone borrowing his style, which makes sense because he usually signs his stuff.
Kinda glad I didn’t have to excavate this one lol
Also while I was there I saw a Coal Train moniker passing over, but I think a few people have stolen it these days…

Now that we’ve covered the basics of #toynbeetiles I’ll introduced a more advanced feature: the dial. A dial is really just a circular feature with one or more notches cut into it. In the picture below, there are three dials: red with a yellow notch, blue with a red notch, and yellow with a white (?) notch.
