I'm beginning to realize that as #PhDtoIndustry I'm truly fucked.
If I were still a student, tomorrow I'd be celebrating the first day of 28th grade.
But I'm a professor, so it's just a workday. Nonetheless, I'm excited for the new semester (ugh I really am a professor).
Today I was formally inducted into the community of scholars. Attending the hooding ceremony and walking for my Ph.D. was a dream come true.
But the highlight for me today was watching my students collect their MS and BS degrees. Whatever pride I have for myself and my own accomplishments pales in comparison to the pride I have for them. I have truly amazing students who will do amazing things.

My students held a 1920s murder mystery dinner party tonight and it was a blast.
I performed at Carnegie Hall tonight with the RPI students. It wasn't my debut there but it was theirs!
