@golgaloth I don’t think the vampire on board the space ship in #PeterWatts’ #Blindsight had a name. Which makes sense because technically speaking it didn’t have consciousness.
The novel blurb was “A post-singularity first contact novel examining the nature and meaning of consciousness, with space vampires.”

I like the Vampire lore thing that it's religious symbols that remind you of the sin you have committed, but then I do love the Peter Watts 'Vampires can't process Right Angles' thing.
