Big update on my website:
- I added a whole bunch of new links, including a new section of links.
- I re-worked my Trek section.
- I updated some other pages.
- I exchanged almost all images by smaller or dithered (and smaller) versions.

I made my own webring: https://tar.dev/webring/join.php

I think webrings are an awesome way to connect an indie website to other people’s corners of the interwebs. It’s always fun to find a website I wouldn’t have found otherwise, just because the algorithm doesn’t know I would be interested in seeing it. So, wanting to make another chain of connections, I made this webring that you can join if you have a SFW website

I added a couple of new things to my #PersonalWebsite, an Upvote button inspired by @eclecticpassions and a "This week in other years" section featuring posts from years before made in the same calendar week (despite 500+ posts I still don't have enough for an "On This Day" kinda thing).

I'll write a quick post about these later :P

Kinda transfixed by the concept of a 'now' page:

"Personal websites often have a link that says 'now' that tells you what this person is focused on at this point in their life. It’s called a 'now page'."

The AI-scraper blocklist on my website is now over 400 lines. I think it's time to just block all scrapers. I'm not sure I care any more whether my site ends up in a search engine or not.

One of the first pages I look for when I visit a personal website is "Links". A good links page is like a web directory without being a web directory. It's amazing what you can find there. The web is fucking amazing!

🤔 Maybe I should add a section to my own links page called "Other poeple's links pages". That could be fun. I think I'll actually do that.

I'm thinking about fun things to add to the website - so far I've added a slots minigame and TarGPT - an AI model to answer questions. I have also been working on seo and little optimisation tricks. Also, the cryptographic key has been updated, now it is tied to [email protected], so feel free to send me all the encrypted messages you want =P

I have a new post up: https://axxuy.com/blog/2026/spring-cleaning/

IMPORTANT information in this one. I am moving my website to axxuy.com. PLEASE remember to update your RSS feeds!

Everything should be redirecting cleanly. Let me know if something is broken

Spring Cleaning

A New Coat of Paint I felt like it was time to do a little cleaning up around my blog. I’ve spruced up my background and made some tweaks to the CSS. Things should hopefully be a little bit neater. That’s well and good, but if that were everything I would not be making this post. It’s only some changes, not a full redesign. And that brings me to the next section.

Updated my /now page.

Finished one book, started another. Made my mind up about a programming project.

I am forever doing a million projects! I am considering adding a proper "projects" page to my personal site, or maybe retooling the "/now" section on my about page to capture the bigger-picture visions I have going on.

This kanban CSS snippet might be what makes it happen. When I was using Notion more I was a kanban freak. Ty @artlung
