Finished The Skies of Pern, Anne McCaffrey. Delightful return to well-known characters, putting a cap on the series as a whole. Over 30 years after the 1st novel, this gives us logical events & choices in light of all we’ve learned before, quite satisfying. #Pern #SFF

I suggested Ramoth, the golden queen dragon from the Dragonriders of #Pern fantasy/sci-fi series, back in 2011: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Special:Diff/686573

And Ramoth was indeed used, IIRC, for the main #PostgreSQL database server until it was decommissioned in 2020: https://github.com/openstreetmap/operations/issues/412
