🚨 Alert! 🚨 #Sandboxes won't save you from OpenClaw! Because, duh, sandboxes aren't magical force fields. 🧙‍♂️ Clearly, what we need is not more sand, but a new permission slip system to stop our AI overlords from going rogue. 🙃🔒

California Sues Data-Harvesting Company NPD, Enforcing Strict Privacy Law - Slashdot

California sued to fine a data-harvesting company, reports the Washington Post, calling it "a rare step to put muscle behind one of the strongest online privacy laws in the United States." @craignewmark It’s a shame that #ConsumerReports doesn’t make its #PermissionSlip app available outside of the USA. #privacy #security #business

Developed by #ConsumerReports’ Innovation Lab, #PermissionSlip is available for FREE on both iOS and Android. The new app allows you to easily contact companies that may be collecting, sharing or selling your data - and demand they stop, with the tap of a button.

Permission Slip App by CR

One app to take back control of your data

@mrfusion @mastodonmigration you can submit a request through Consumer Report’s #PermissionSlip application. They will ignore it but are duty bound to do it, some day.

I haven't used it yet, but this #PermissionSlip app sounds like a legitimate way to get your #PersonalData deleted or protected on all the sites and apps where you've signed up over the years #Identity #Online #Helpful #ConsumerReports

Good article, free access

It has been almost a year since I cold turkey left #Twitter for Mastodon. I'm super fortunate to have had @vmstan as a constant nag to come over to vmst.io. Now I'm a "Mastodon evangalist"

Anyway, I submitted an account deletion request via #PermissionSlip. The request has been ignored thus far. Shocker.
