@MoritzGlantz regarding better ui/ux for open source projects, have you seen the #penpot initiative to build more custom libraries?

I'm not sure why, but #Krita is much snappier than #Inkscape on my ZorinOS Starfighter. On the Mac, Inkscape has no issues at all, but on my super powerful Linux machine it's laggy and has issues.

#PenPot is becoming a strong contender for me now though. I've become used to the "endless canvas" concept from Figma and Miro that my employer uses – and PenPot has that same concept.

Wenn ich an den Umstieg auf Linux als Designer denke, ist das Erste, was mir in den Sinn kommt, die Frage, wie ich weiterhin meine bekannten Tools nutzen kann. Viele von uns haben ihre Werkzeuge um, um Design-Prozesse im Team zu steuern und wollen das natürlich einfach weiterführen. Die gute Nachricht ganz am Anfang: Da das meiste eh Browserbasiert ist, ist der Umstieg auch hier kinderleicht. Aber warum sollte man auf einem Open-Source Betriebssystem einfach so weitermachen?

Oh, and in case anyone is curious, here's what I am self hosting these days:

- Keycloak - OpenID Authentication Provider
- Nextcloud - Private cloud service
- #Vaultwarden - Open Source implementation of BitWarden server in Rust
- Sonatype Nexus - Artifact Repository I use for Maven/Containers/NPM/etc...
- #OneDev - An open source git forge similar to GitLab
- #Stalwart - Mail Server with lots of features
- #PenPot - Open Source alternative to #Figma

Anyone in the #Gnome ecosystem able to tell me if #Penpot is nicely usable to develop #libadwaita and #GTK4 apps? I can only find informations regarding Figma, but nothing about Penpot.
