I was born after the age of steam on the railroads. Dad instilled in me a great love of trains and all things related.
Some great footage here of the Pennsylvania Railroad's steam locomotives in the 1930s to 1950s. Quite a bit of it shot in color. I wish I could have seen them run myself.
The old train station that used to exist in this section of the old #Pennsy hasn't been used since 1929, but you can still see the railroad scar via modern land and building uses still in 2024.
