#PennedPossibilities 963 — If you use a pen name or certain username on a writing site, what is its significance and how did you arrive at using it?

It was the name of a Crow Shaman I played in Shadow Run. It's a pun on the Poe quote "Nevermore."

My username, pen name, or the nom-de-plume I use online is agoodtuckering. “A good Tuckering” has to do with Malcolm Tucker and is in reference to his furious rants. He’s a character that I love writing and have actually written stories for for a long time now. I’m a big Peter Capaldi fan. The username stuck, and I use it for my Tumblr and Archive of Our Own accounts. That’s what everyone knows me by these days, that and floofpaldi as well over on Discord, Fluxer, and here on Mastodon. Again, like I said, Capaldi fan here. It just fit for the communities I was and am in. It means floofy-haired (or fluffy-haired) Capaldi. I thought it was cute, to be fair.

#PennedPossibilities 962: What soundtrack for film/TV series of the WIP?

I originally envisioned "Time & Tied" as a TV series, and for reasons I've been into before, the visual novel "Shuffle!" and sequels got linked in my mind. Granted, that's partly for the visuals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoTryyVvwM0

Now, "Time Untied" is the sequel, but I still feel like upbeat rock isn't out of place. Ok, Go... check this AMV, which has no treadmills. For flavour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9tdih4gni4

#PennedPossibilities 962, If there was ever going to be a film or a series based upon your WIP, what do you imagine the soundtrack would be like? What genre?

My warm, smart SF set in the 60s would have a soundtrack that wrote itself with ideally commissioned songs and some more eerie effects needed. My sprightly Victorian murder mysteries would need street bustle, and the wide music of the time and hubbub

both would be comparatively easy

Oooh! Well, one would think that something appropriately Victorian and D&D-like, to fit the steampunk setting of the human world and the fantasy one of the parallel world, but I actually enjoy having really anachronistic music for the soundtrack. Some 70s to 90s hard rock or heavy metal in particular comes to mind.

#PennedPossibilities 962: If there was ever a film / series based on your WIP, what would soundtrack be like?

The book is set 150-ish years in the future, so I think it would be fun to hire musicians and try to extrapolate some new genre of music that doesn't exist yet. It could go VERY wrong, but it could be amazing, too.

#PennedPossibilities 961 SC POV: Have you ever spoken up when you saw that something going on was wrong?

Yes, all the time. They all grew up in a supporting, permissive culture. Kids are *supposed* to speak up when they see something is wrong. They'll get listened to, and adults will act on it if appropriate.

Definitely 80's music.

For my currently editing WIP (book 4) 'Death Echoes of Fire' : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11ArR6LQpP4

Epic, cinematic classical piece, that perfectly suits the final scenes. The entire Ethereal series could likely stick with J.T. Peterson's Petrichor album.

If there was ever going to be a film or a series based upon your WIP, what do you imagine the soundtrack would be like? What genre?

It'd be Canadian indie rock. My dream would be to get Godspeed You! Black Emperor to do the score and Tanya Tagaq for the moments of cosmic horror. Lots of Weakerthans, especially over closing credits.
