In this pencil drawing, a solitary, hooded figure sits in a bright red wingback armchair, gazing up at a dark, cloudy sky. The sky is filled with a dreamlike flight of numerous red aircraft, which stand out starkly against the surroundings.
At his feet more red planes, whilst in the distance a city skyline and Citroën 2CV can be seen, lending the scene a nostalgic and surreal atmosphere.

This pencil drawing depicts a melancholic dune landscape in which a solitary figure walks between an old car and a tall hotel.
The atmosphere is mysterious and surreal, heightened by the flock of birds.
The contrast between the detailed shading of the grass and the dreamy, misty background makes it tranquil.

FINAL WEEKEND of "De werkelijkheid klopt altijd" ("Reality Always Holds True") at Galerie Noord. Featuring the re-stretched selfportrait from 1996 as well as the four-part series "Rustwoning" ("Temporary Home") from 2024.
The galllery is open both Satruday and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
