At one point I mispronunced "snek" (meaning snake) as Schneke (German word for Snail), thought about a snake emerging from a snail shell, then remembered the german word for snake is Schlange, and it doesn't conjure up the same kind of imagery. This will still form the basis of a future photoshoot, and it will be artsy, whimsical, and thoroughly amusing for me.

Since I haven't been on in a while, here's a post to let y'all know I'm okay. My spoons got scooped up by life and work things. It's just frustrating when it happens without warning, but also not what the post is about.

Anyway, it's been a bit chilly the past week or so. Sub-Zero temps (fahrenheit) and lots of snow. There was a 100+ car pileup not far from me the other day. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I've been shoveling snow and breaking icicles a bunch. My fingers go numb very quickly despite thick gloves and hit hands. I might make a post for glove recs at some point soon depending on if I find something or not by the weekend.

It's also difficult to think when you run in from subzero to more livable temps, and your glasses fog up, and you can't get your boots, and outerwear off quickly enough.

Today, I took a break halfway (It's a significant amount of shoveling area and multiple feet of snow each time). My brain kicked in, but still not fast enough. It was only after I had finished peeling the sweat dampened drapey tank from my skin that I realized I really should have recorded that for the Fedi folks that like wet fabric being removed from toned torsos. Especially with flannel outer layers.

While I'll try to remember for next time, here's the rest of the aftermath as a sort of #PeekABoob
