Ein Krimi mit Al Pacino, noch dazu ein Mafia-Film. Das war früher für mich das größtmögliche Kino. Aber hier ist das anders. Keine Posen, kein Mythos mehr, sondern nur noch kalter Rauch. Auch kein Glanz mehr, oder Orgien mit Kokain und Gewalt. Sondern nur noch ein System, das furchtbar müde wirkt, während es aber doch noch funktioniert. Loyalität ist hier weniger Prinzip als Gewohnheit, und genau darin liegt die Kälte dieses Filmes nach einer wahren Geschichte. Mit Al Pacino, Johnny Depp und Michael Madsen. (ARTE, Wh.)
