Contrôlé positif à la testostérone en juin, l'Allemand Patrik Sinkewitz, a été suspendu un an vendredi par la Fédération allemande de cyclisme. L'ancien coureur de la T-Mobile a profité d'une réduction de peine grâce à ses aveux et sa collaboration avec la commission de discipline. Ayant été suspendu par son équipe dès l'annonce de son contrôle positif le 17 juillet 2007, son interdiction de compétition prendra fin le 17 juillet 2008. Sinkewitz a également été condamné à payer une amende de 40 000 euros, une somme qui sera versée à l'agence allemande antidopage pour réaliser des contrôles.
