@zigi_now9 My son sometimes laughs when stressed. For myself I tend to shut down and zone out, so my expression tends to go more flat than usual.

If I have to fake smiles intentionally, it’s just long enough to flee dangerous allistic situations, including work. I include in “dangerous” situations where expressing honestly would be labeled “bad.”

@actuallyautistic Well I got a reply from school today. Director reports that staff have met, and will be taking better care to better contextualize and avoid #pathologizing my son’s behavior. Promise made. Promise kept? Time will tell.
