During the last presidency, the Government’s lawyers dotted every I, crossed every T, and minded their Ps and Qs to assemble what was an extremely compelling case against the non-president. The non-president’s team of lawyers were buffoonish #partisan hacks, and more than one judge decided to marry a foregone conclusion to the first vaguely attractive flimsy premise, to protect the non-president from the #consequences of his actions, illegal by most plain-language readings of the law.
