Partickhill Bowling Club in the West End of Glasgow early on a frosty morning. I love the fact there's a single abandoned bowl sitting on the green in front of it. The club was formed in 1905, and its pavilion has a similar style to many built around the city at this time.

A red sandstone Edwardian tenement on North Gardner Street in the Partickhill area of Glasgow. Built around 1905, it has a pend leading through to a small standalone building which was originally home to Fulton, Wm. & Son, a firm of joiners and builders. Such backcourt businesses were common across the city, and could be anything from stables to cinemas.

A blonde sandstone Victorian tenement on the corner of Partickhill Road and Gardner Street in the West End of Glasgow. Built in the 1880s, this block was originally known as Edelweiss Terrace, and you can still see a ghost sign bearing this name on its facade.

In the 1950s, the interior was renovated by Gillespie, Kidd and Coia and turned into a residence for the Notre Dame College of Education (also in Bearsden). Most recently, it has been converted into residential flats.

Wellpark House on Partickhill Road in Glasgow. Built in a Jacobean style, it's thought to have been constructed around the 1860s. Starting as a private house, Wellpark House be came a Roman Catholic seminary in 1874. In 1906 the seminary moves out to Bearsden, and it became a hostel for student teachers called Saint Kentigern's Hostel.

Love this Spring themed post box topper on North Gardner Street in Glasgow. Seeing it come into view after running up Gardner Street itself almost makes it worth it. Almost, but not quite!

A bit late in the season for posting, but I love this festive post box topper on North Gardner Street in the Partickhill area of Glasgow. Don't go reading too much into it, but I especially like the Grinch!
