Me (trying not to smile): "N, that's not funny, at least whisper something Christmassy"
N (4, whispers (but not really because i heard it from another room)): "Christmas Poo!".

I laughed, daughter laughed, N laughed (obviously) - I suppose he did follow the instructions 😆 touché.

Daughter takes her socks off and hands me a whole handful of colourful beads. I now know why she was limping home.
"...did you steal these from school?"
"No! They're from the craft corner at school... we're allowed to take them!"
