Has anyone done something like somewhat-wallgardened platform for kids? My kids are starting the good old act of "microblogging", "content creation" and general shitposting but they are doing it on WhatsApp (I didn't even know you could do "channels" there. Enshitification?).

If they have to grow an addiction, I'd rather like them hooked on creation then on consumption. So I have no idea what exactly I'm looking for, except a place for their outlet.

I'm thinking maybe Frendica without federation, kinda like "mini Facebook" might be a passable option, they could post Minecraft challenges, screenshots, above-mentioned shitpost, and they could invite their friends etc etc.

I know they'll get into the open internet as well but I also want them to see other options. That one if the few tools I have against the internet, show them a different one.

I have thoughts, but I'd like someone with actual experience.
