He buscado muchas fotos y no me encaja ninguna.

[EN] I was certain it was a Lycosidae, but I wasn’t sure whether it belonged to the genus Pardosa. The radial pattern in the prosoma made me think first on Hogna radiata, but this species is more robust and has more radii. Then I looked for Trochosa, which also has a similar pattern, but it didn't convince me. Finally, I looked at the space between the eyes of the middle row (the biggest) and I realized it was a Pardosa. I looked at many photos and I don't know which species it is.

Went on a walk to Trillium Park today and, to my surprise, the _Pardosa_ were out in force, as if it were spring. They were sunning themselves on the rocks by the lake, many with their front legs tucked up in a rather cute "catloaf" kind of pose.

As much as I like spending time with the wolf spiders, I would much rather everything still be cold and barren and the spiders dormant under the rocks.

Spider thing of the day: "Mating was never observed in _[#Pardosa] glacialis_, but one male which had repeatedly been shunned by all females, began courting a large male Chironomid, which was lying on its side almost dead.

"The male eventually mounted the fly in the usual _Pardosa_ manner, it then discovered the mistake and ate the fly."
