We've added a new Paralogy section to Gene pages. Like Orthology, the Paralogy data are sourced from the DRSC’s #DIOPT https://flyrnai.org/cgi-bin/DRSC_orthologs.pl tool. Each table is ranked based on similarity, identity, alignment length, & a count of algorithms used to predict a paralogous match.

#Paralogs are homologous genes found within a species due to gene duplication, and have often accumulated changes so that they can have different functions than the original ancestral gene.
