I wonder if people whose brain naturally clicks on abstract FP (haskell, arrows, functors, continuations) felt that working in other applied paradigms (oo webdev) was significantly harming their growth.

These context provide very few thinking opportunities and you spend your day arguing for unnecessary problems and maintaining bad solutions
