I've installed #paperlessngx but I'd really like to experiment with some local AI with it.

My server has 16gb of ram, but only 5-6 spare.

I have an Intel Arc with 4GB of memory knocking about somewhere.

I have no idea if that's enough to run #Ollama for something like organising documents and doing ORC.

Has anyone had any mileage with this kind of hardware? I have an Intel i5-13500T CPU if that changes anything.

Zum DI Day habe ich heute mal nichts ersetzt, sondern ergänzt.
Im heimischen Netz läuft jetzt ein Paperless NGX, das die Woche ordentlich gefüllt werden will.
Und dann ist die Buchhaltung Zuhause auch endlich digital.

So I’ve set up my private Paperless-NGX server in a FreeBSD Jail. Quite happy about it.

Now I need to find a proper scanner I can mass-feed: our konica Bizhub 450i at work is such a piece of crap.

Arghh!!! #PaperlessNGX removed the split action when the new PDF Editor was added, but the editor is soooo much harder to do splits in. Yes, I like that I can rotate pages, but splitting is a nightmare! 😡

The original editor, had bigger images, and could add splits with a series of clicks in a single dialog. It was a little clunky, but serviceable.

#PaperlessNGX on #NixOS crisis averted. 😎

An accidental update from SQLite to PostgreSQL looked like it lost all my documents 😱

`nixos rebuild switch` was not behaving consistently and a build where I had added the `database.createLocally = true;` was added after a successful build, so it didn't actually run PostgreSQL. In desperation, I did an overdue upgrade to NixOS 25.11 and it worked, but I had dozens of documents loaded and when it rebuilt, it found and used that new option...

Hat hier jemensch #paperlessngx auf einer Synology am Laufen und kann mich zu einer funktionierenden yml verweisen? Ich krieg das nicht gebacken, hab mir schon aus zig verschiedenen Anleitung etwas zusammengebaut, aber ich komm nicht weiter als bis zu einem Server Error 500 nach ein paar Minuten.

Ah, you got to love that sometimes SSO callback URIs have a trailing slash and sometimes they don't. And no, i did absolutely not search for the error 45 minutes straight.

By the way, did anybody set up claimMaps for kanidm in NixOS yet? I am too sleepy right now and i think i am reading it wrong.
