CJLast night, my wife and I went to see "You Can't do that Dan Moody!" at the Williamson County courthouse. This is the 100th anniversary of the first successful trial against the Ku Klux Klan. It was held at the Williamson county courhouse, so we were actuually in the same court room where the trial took place 100 years ago. Special Event at the Historic Williamson County Courthouse In September 1923, Georgetown District Attorney, Dan Moody tried and convicted the Ku Klux Klan for the first time ever in the United States. This fast-moving story of pistol-whippings and court trials describes in vivid detail how Dan Moody helped rid Texas of the evil Ku Klux Klan.
