sooo this weekend I finally flashed #Meshtastic onto the #pager 🙌

HOT TIP, when they say "check that your cable isn't power-only", THERE'S A REASON THEY SAY THAT. if it doesn't work, check your cable.. swap it out.. try a different one... Ask me how I know 🙃

Anyway, once that was done, I was shocked to find that I was able to see 4-8 nodes online at any given point!

There's still SO much I don't know, but this is a fun little starter device IMHO.

Давайте вкратце вспомним историю пейджера и разберем как без обратного канала умудрялись обеспечить связь по надежности превосходящую мобильный телефон?

I'm not sure what this signal is, it looks and sounds like a pager, but it never decodes. SDRAngel can only do POCSAG so maybe it's a different protocol. It constantly pulses about every second like an identifier and then occasionally sends a longer message.

The terrorist organization "Hezbollah" has a controlling department now:

How devastating Operation Grim Beeper was for Hezbollah can also be seen in this report. Not only did 42 people die, including 12 civilians and 4,000 injured, but around 1,500 are permanently disabled, mostly blind and missing body parts. They will not cause any problems anymore.
In the past, Hezbollah has taken care of these people and their families. The sudden increase in "social security expenditure" has significantly changed the financial situation of the terrorist organization, in addition to the weakening caused by the lack of terrorists.
This means that it is no longer a truly important ally for Iran, as its money is not going to the fight against Israel but is being used to care for the disabled. Hezbollah will have massive recruitment problems and those who join will be much more careful not to be too reckless...
