Chocolatey package modifications for Nitrocid and BassBoom

The Chocolatey package method was first introduced in Nitrocid while we were trying to find ways to get users to be able to more easily try it out without having to manually unpack the ZIP file. Our efforts led to creating more installation methods for our apps, with the latest effort being the introduction of the WinGet installation method for Nitrocid and BassBoom.

However, we needed to maintain consistency when dealing with both Chocolatey and WinGet package methods to install our apps. The WinGet package method for our apps used the WiX installer, which was introduced with Nitrocid v0.1.2 last year.

Now, we are very excited to announce that we have changed the Chocolatey packages to use the new installation method instead of the older ZIP file method. Using WiX as the installer, you can now easily launch Nitrocid and BassBoom once you install it from Chocolatey packaging. Currently, it’s presented as a test drive to make sure that things run smoothly.
