The Oxford Comma - Why and Why Not

Did you used to watch Fawlty Towers? He instructs his staff, repeatedly and in increasingly frantic tones, "Don't mention the war!" If I don't want to use the Oxford comma, I don't have to do so. If you have a problem with that - it is on you.

From a random Facebook page’s post that got shoved into my feed, an excellent candidate for a sentence really needing an Oxford comma. At least, I assume so; if not, I want to see this film.
