starting maybe...5 years ago?....I've been having #sleep issues. no problem falling asleep (it annoys my wife that I'm asleep within 10s of head-on-pillow). the issue is STAYING asleep.
if I make it to 5am, I'm astonished. I'm usually up by 430am and very often by 330am or even earlier. I only need like 6h/night but I'm getting 5 or less too often
obvs I'm doing all the recommended things already. the issue is if I happen to think of a particularly stressful issue I spiral myself even more awake
on a whim I tried a story audio and fell asleep immediately. so for about 2w I've been wearing "side sleeping ear phones" and playing #SleepWithMe #podcast continuously through the night
it's working like a dream
the only issue is that the ads/music either wakes me up or doesn't put me back to sleep.
so I just sub'd to his "main story only" feed. there's about 1000h of audio there. that's like 7 months of restful sleep but since I'm only actually hearing it if I get up for the bathroom it's effectively infinite
